Project Overview:
This project in Manchester focused on the removal of obsolete infrastructure and preparation of the site for new construction at the Saica Paper Mill.

Key Works Undertaken:

• Demolished and removed an unused underground tank using a 40-ton CAT excavator equipped with a muncher attachment.
  
• Cleared and cleaned the tank’s contents, which were then transported offsite by tanker.
  
• Installed and compacted stone in layers up to ground level to create a stable base.
  
• Conducted a final trim using a CAT D4 Bulldozer, guided by two Topcon lasers and Trimble receivers, in preparation for the concrete floor installation.
  

Results:
The site was efficiently cleared and prepared, facilitating the seamless continuation of construction activities and underscoring MWS’s expertise in site remediation and preparation.
